Silkies
Our adorable Silkie chickens are full of character and are loved by children and adults alike. Easily recognised by their soft, fluffy, fur-like feathers and gentle nature, they are a unique and fascinating breed. Their calm and friendly temperament makes them ideal for introducing children to animals, helping to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and promote respect for nature through positive, hands-on experiences.
Pygmy Goats
Our playful Pygmy goats are always a favourite with children thanks to their curious personalities and mischievous charm. Friendly, intelligent, and full of character, they love exploring their surroundings and eating the fresh grass. Spending time with our goats provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about animal care, and to build confidence around animals.
Ducks
Our Indian Runner and Cayuga ducks are a wonderful addition to our animal family and are always a delight to watch. Indian Runner ducks are known for their unique upright posture and energetic personalities, while Cayuga ducks are admired for their beautiful iridescent feathers that shimmer with shades of green and blue in the sunlight. Observing our ducks gives children the opportunity to learn about different breeds, animal behaviour, and the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect.
Rabbits
Our rabbits are gentle, friendly animals that are loved by visitors of all ages. With their soft fur and calm nature, they provide a wonderful opportunity for children to develop confidence around animals while learning about responsible care and handling. Spending time with our rabbits encourages patience, kindness, and respect for living creatures, creating enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone.
Rhode Island Reds
Our ex-battery hens have been given a second chance at life after being rescued from commercial egg production farms. Watching them enjoy the freedom to scratch, dust bathe, explore, and express their natural behaviours is both rewarding and educational. They help children learn about animal welfare, compassion, and the importance of providing animals with a safe, caring environment where they can thrive.
Various Large Breed Hens
Brahma chickens are a gentle giant breed known for their large size, feathered feet, and calm personalities. They are friendly, hardy birds that make a beautiful addition to any farm or homestead.
Cochins are fluffy, affectionate chickens loved for their soft feathers and sweet temperament. Their round appearance and docile nature make them a favorite for families and backyard flocks.
